Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker

Salary Scale: £13.81 p/h

Contract Term: Patterns of work will be agreed with the parents/carers and referring agency for individual children and young people on a termly basis. Short term contracts will be issued to workers typically on a termly basis for each young person worked with. Additional casual work will also be offered to successful applicants.

Location: Sessions will be delivered in the child’s home or the local community.

Hours: Dependent on needs of the child & family. Sessions will take place on a regular basis of typically 3-5 hours on weekends, weekday evenings, and school holidays.

Reporting To: Project Manager

Key Purpose and context:

Your primary responsibilities will be supporting children and young people with challenging behaviour in their home or the local community and providing regular, planned periods of short breaks for the families coping with the demands of caring for their disabled child/ young person.
