PLEASE NOTE, DUE TO THE COVID SITUATION WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY TAKING ANY NEW BOOKINGS FOR OUR ARTIST IN TRAINING PROGRAMME.

Artist in Training is an exciting, arts-based weekend project which provides training workshops to young artists of all abilities. Each workshop focuses on a different art form, but all are designed to help children tap into their creativity and express themselves. The workshops take place in small groups and are facilitated by playworkers and sessional artists. 1:1 support is available for children who need additional assistance, such as children with disabilities.

Some of the activities our young Artists in Training have previously enjoyed include film, photography, fashion design, pottery, woodcarving, mosaics, glass painting and much more.

Children will work with staff to curate and develop an exhibition of their work at the end of the programme.

Session Times

We offer 10 Saturday sessions per year. Each Artist in Training session runs from 12-5pm and takes place at our Fairfield Playcentre in the heart of Camden Town.
