Are you passionate about working with children and young people and eager to kickstart your Play Work or Early Childhood Education career? We may have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are now recruiting 10 trainees to join our 6-week traineeship programme at our Playcentres in Camden. Trainees will work in either our Pre-school or Play Services placements and get real-life experience in their area of choice, with a guaranteed interview for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship.

What happens in a Traineeship?

As part of the 6-Week traineeship, you will complete a Level 1 Certificate in Employability Skills and receive help with English, maths and job search training. You will join us at our Playcentres for 70+ hours of practical work experience where you will work directly with children.

Trainees who successfully complete the 6-week programme will be guaranteed an interview for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship with us.

Who can be a Trainee?

These traineeships are open to people aged 16 to 24, who are not already in employment, education or training. 25-year-olds who have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan are also eligible to apply.

Trainees can only be qualified to a Level 3.

Rates of Pay

Traineeships are not paid. However, trainees are given a bursary of £40 per week, which does not affect your benefits allowance.

Upon successful completion of the traineeship, you will be offered an interview for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship. We pay Apprentices £8.86 per hour and offer paid holidays and pension contributions.
